Even if human-computer interface is an obvious field where such a model can be applied, it is not the only one. Such a model can be applied in a wide range of applications that need to model objects behaviour in image sequences. It can also be applied to novelty or atypical behaviour detection by comparing behaviour of a particular object with typical behaviours given by the model.
Amongst those applications we can find :
- -
- Tracking of organs in medical images such as heart. Tracking of normal hearts can be improved as well as detection of weak hearts.
- -
- Tracking of cars on highways. Accidents will then appears as an atypical behaviours.
- -
- Generation of behaviours for cartoons or games.
- -
- Tracking people in supermarkets. The behaviour stored by the model can be used to plan re-stocking.
- -
- Tracking people in public places in order to detect abnormal behaviours such as robberies.
The number of possible practical application shows the importance of objects behaviour modelling.
